Mobile devices have gotten smaller and smaller (and then bigger and bigger, oddly enough) but some things have just stayed the same. When’s the last time you saw a switch or a router shrinking? Sure for wired devices scaling down is limited to how small you can make the chassis around a port (which is why many ultrabooks simply lack the requisite connectivity some need), but for wireless, the router hasn’t changed much in the past few years, until now.
