Not all doom and gloom, out there in the world of business.
Small business owners generally have started the year in a buoyant mood, according to a new Pulse survey.
The bi-annual survey measures confidence in SMEs like yours, and found that not only did nearly half (48%) want to scale up business in 2013, but 65 per cent anticipate ‘average to strong sales’ in the first half of this year.
Encouraging news, eh?
The most confident seem to be businesses with between 11 and 25 employees – just under three-quarters of those surveyed anticipate, at worst, ‘average sales’.
Almost half of the businesses said they have set themselves more ambitious plans for the year ahead. Let’s hope these translate into concrete results.
